I doubted hi tops like cons or nikes... but vans really did good with these now hi tops. The insoles are far better than any other brand also!

Maybe go a half size up. These cause blisters on the knuckle of my big toe and small toe. They look cool but are very uncomfortable. I recommend to get something else.

Nice shoes, maybe not the best to skate, but not so comfortable, it blister my foot, only after a few weeks I was able to wear them for a whole day with no pain
