Are there alternatives to skateboard curb wax?
As already mentioned, candles are not really a good alternative to skate wax. However, for some cases - such as board or lipslides - deck rails are an option. You can screw these plastic rails to your deck. Like wax, they reduce friction during slides and have other advantages.
