Opera Skateboards

As with its predecessor brand, Opera rarely gives you a deck with 7-ply maple. You can expect a lot of details like embossed graphics, inlets, wheel wells, foil designs and slick bottoms in a mother-of-pearl look.

From Madness to Opera Skateboards

At the beginning of Opera's origin story is the end of Madness Skateboards. In 2023 there were some changes in the well-known Dwindle distribution. As a result, some brands have announced their end. In addition to enjoi, the end had also come for Madness.

Bill Weiss saw this as a chance for a new beginning. With the foundation of the skater-owned Sidewalk Distribution, there was the possibility to give the riders and the ethos of the former brands a new home. While some enjoi riders now mingle at Jacuzzi Unlimited, Bill Weiss continues his vision with Opera.
